🛠️ How FontLab Works


FontLab runs entirely within your browser. It is designed to identify font styles (such as font family, size, weight, and color) on webpages only when you activate it by hovering your mouse over text.

All processing is done locally on your device, and no data is transmitted to any server or third party.

🔒 Permissions Used

FontLab requests the following permissions:

activeTab – Required to temporarily access the currently active tab when you click the extension.

scripting – Allows the extension to inject code into the current webpage for font detection.

– Required so the extension can function on any website you choose to inspect.

These permissions are used solely for font detection purposes and are not used to track or collect any user information.

📤 Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, share, or transfer any data to third parties. Since no data is collected, there is nothing to share.

🔄 Future Updates

If the privacy practices for FontLab change in the future (for example, to add cloud features or analytics), we will update this privacy policy and notify users accordingly through the Chrome Web Store listing.
